Multicultural Art Contest

Hurry and submit your entries by November 13th!

Open to all AVC students.

Artwork must depict what multiculturalism means to you.

Your artwork may include, but is not limited to: drawing, painting, printmaking, fiber art, mixed media, photography, digital art, sculpture.

Please submit a photo of your entry or a CD with the image of your artwork to the reference desk in the AVC Library by: November 13, 2009.

Include your full name, contact information, and dimensions of the artwork. A panel of library and art faculty will judge the artwork.

Community College Appreciation Month

While many of you may be thinking more about the fact that April is National Grilled Cheese Month, it is also Community College Appreciation Month. Did you know that last year 47% of UC and CSU BA/BS Graduates attended Community College first? Not only do Community Colleges help students prepare and transfer to four year institutions, they also assist students in gaining basic skills, learning new languages, and offer enriching classes just for the fun of it. Come check out what the library has to offer for whatever reason your attending classes. In fact, if your a little tech savvy, try AVC's new e-book collection.
